Reunion redux
Speaking of getting together. In retrospect it is lame sauce that we couldn't figure out a time to all get together this last year, except for potentially vegas. I am in Beeler St. nostalgia withdrawal. Lets start the train down the track of reunion venues and timing.
My vote - 4th of July - Montreal or Vancouver.
Let the argument begin.

Aussie land
Gents: This blog has been dormant for a little bit now. Damn! I am as much a culprit as anyone else.
Seeing as many things have transpired, I feel no need to summarize. Straight to business.
I am planning a trip for the spring of 2011 to go over the 'other, other' pond to see our man ZhiQiao. I'm thinking that sometime in March might be good, depending mostly on airfare rates and my/Zhi's calendar. That said, I thought it might be fun to extend an invitation to the extended readership of this blog. Is anyone also interested in going?
As you can tell, the itinerary is pretty open as well. The only thing that WILL be happening is a trip to the blue mountains - to check out the aussie climbing scene there. I guess I'd like to see Melbourne as well. My assumptions are that Zhi will be working at least some of the time that I'm there, so it would be nice to have someone else on holiday to f** around with.
Thoughts are welcome!

4th of July Trip
It is with great sadness that I realized there would be no Beeler Street trip this 4th of July.
We really shouldn't let this tradition die. I can personally say I've had a lot of fun these last couple of years, taking time to hang out with you guys in various places around the country. My leaving the States has left an obvious restriction on the frequency of occasions we can all gather, but it doesn't have to signal an end!
In fact, I say it should instigate two things. First, it should encourage more overseas trips as opposed to sticking with the tried and true stateside destinations. Second, we need to cram more debauchery into the trips we do take. For instance, take all the drinking and partying we did over the past year (Chicago, Tahoe, Denver, Vegas) and cram it into one rager of a week. Livers and livelihoods be damned!
I understand people's budgets and schedules probably won't allow for the mountain to come to Mohammed anytime soon, so here's my travel schedule back to the states for the next few months.
Sep 3-11: In San Francisco
Sep 11-12: I may fly back to Philly, I'm not sure
Sep 13-18: In San Francisco
Oct 23-24: In San Francisco
Oct 25-30: In Philly/NYC
In the meanwhile, I'll be diligently saving up vacation days and money, looking forward to the next big Beeler Boys Bash.
What do you think for possible destinations and time frames?
- Singapore / South East Asia
- Spain
- South America
- Japan
- Somewhere in the States
Suggestions?
Miss you guys lots.
