I just bought a ps3 and it is bad ass. I want to make it my media center for my living room so I don' t have to blast music out of my comp. But ps3 can't stream m4ps, and installing codecs that allow wmp to play m4ps also don't fix it. The only thing I can think of is to convert all my music into mp3s but I really don't want to do that because it's going to take up alot of space.
Since you guys are the most tech savy people I know, I come to you for help. Any advice would be appreciated.
I've been watching Weeds 1st and 2nd season on blue ray.... so good.... thanks for the rec.

I'm assuming your an apple fanboy and have a mac
dude, you saw my computer, I have vista
I have no idea how it works on the PS3, but streaming through the 360 is pretty simple. I'm not sure about file compatibility but Microsoft doesn't suck quite as much as Sony so you should have better luck.

*Correction: Sony is okay, but playstation sucks
Also I think you can download divx and xvid codecs for the 360 from Xbox live, so they might have something for music also. Alternatively, you can have your xbox back and use that as a media center after you mod it, at least for music. I'm going to buy a 360 soon so I shouldn't need 3 xboxes. Azim, how much did you get when you traded in yours?
I wanna say $60-70, but I'm not sure.
Unfortunately I've not heard of someone streaming itunes music from a pc to the 360 probably because of the DRM (Don't know about PS3). This is what you get for buying music from apple and not stealing it like the rest of humanity.
On a somewhat related note, did you guys hear that Netflix will soon be allowing users to stream movies directly onto their 360s? This could already be done on PCs, but most of us have a much better A/V setup for our TV than on our computer. I may have to switch over to Netflix from Blockbuster once I get back to the 'burgh.
Well I asked Gamestop today about trading in original Xboxes - 20 bucks. I almost laughed in their faces. You can't even buy the hard drive inside for 20 bucks - better off making it a media center thing for one of your tvs.
