For those thats didnt manage to write down titles of shows discussed over the weekend, here is what i remember:

Out of these, i have only had time to check out Dexter so far, and i have to say that I throughly enjoying it. The premise of the show is not only different from most things i watch, but also very intriguing. I can't remember who suggested it to me, but thanks.

On the majority of Linksys routers in the WRT54G* variety, and also many other routers by several other manufacturers, you can get significantly better performance if you use a third party firmware.
I personally flashed by Linksys WRT54GL to use DD-WRT which is an open source router firmware with tons more options and features.

In summary, the benefits include:
- Better overall packet routing capabilities with fewer drops and disconnects
- Better control over hardware features
- Better control over access and security
- Better control over network traffic type (i.e. port forwarding, static IP assignment, packet priority)

I'm no Zhi Qiao super freak, but I found it fairly easy. Make sure you get all the information first, also I m not familiar with how to do all this stuff on a mac, but you have to have a basic understanding of how to use a cmd shell on a windows machine. But you are going to want to make sure you find step by step instructions for the mac if you are unsure. there is also a wiki article for the wrt54g which goes through and talks about firmware that exists. you also have to look at what version you have, that is super important.
